About Me

Welcome to 6th grade! I’m excited for the year ahead and can’t wait to get to know each of you.

I grew up in Minnesota, surrounded by the beauty of the land of 10,000 lakes, where I spent my childhood exploring the outdoors with my three younger sisters. The endless opportunities for swimming, paddleboarding, and fishing fostered a deep love for being on or near the water, which remains a big part of who I am today. My experiences growing up taught me the importance of curiosity, creativity, and collaboration—values that I bring into my teaching every day.

Outside of the classroom, I have a variety of hobbies that keep me busy and inspired. I enjoy woodworking, where I get to create something unique and beautiful from scratch, and thrift shopping, where I hunt for antique treasures in need of repair and love. I also enjoy sewing and cooking, both of which allow me to experiment and be creative. When I’m not crafting or cooking, you can find me traveling around the country to visit family and friends. At home, I cherish spending time with my partner and our two cats, Loki and Oz.
