I've been teaching fifth grade on Bainbridge since 1996 - before and including the first year Sakai opened.

My favorite part of teaching is watching students build confidence - new skills that once seemed so difficult can be mastered with determination and practice. The expert at anything was once a beginner!

I live in Kingston with my husband Eric, two sons, Noah and Liam, our golden retriever dog Siena and our cat Willow. Our family loves to play and watch sports, camp, hike and travel. I graduated from WSU but my son and husband are both Huskies, so the Apple Cup is quite an event in our household. Every year we bet a pie on the game - boy, have I made a lot of banana cream pie over the years. Go Cougs!
