I am incredibly lucky to be a part of the Sakai staff. It's been terrific to be able to work with the students, families, and staff at this school. It really is a family.
I have been so grateful to work in the education field and believe that working with students is where my heart is happiest. I have taught multiple grades in the regular classroom and in special education. I have been a college counselor working with middle and high school students, an assistant principal, and a principal. I returned to teaching students with special needs when I moved to Washington.
When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy anything sports-related, cooking, reading, knitting, and traveling. I also have a furry family member at my house who provides me with limitless smiles and great stories.
