Special Education
Hi, I'm Ian Kelly! I’m excited and grateful to be joining this wonderful district as a Special Education teacher at Sakai and Woodward. Born and (mostly) raised in Texas, but with deep roots in the Seattle area, I’ve explored a variety of professions from carpentry and construction to professional writing and technology. Along the way, I discovered a deep passion for education, and I’ve loved it ever since. I've been an educator for six years across a variety of content areas, including English Language Arts, Social Studies, and Math. I’ve recently transitioned into Special Education, feeling energized in the opportunity to support students in new ways. Outside of school, I’m a proud husband and father of two. My family and I enjoy being outdoors, reading, and making music together. I’m looking forward to building strong, lasting connections within this wonderful community!
